- : Changed ALL??? the chips... I guess only the big one (CIA/FAT AGNUS enz..)
-
- : 1 : Does another mouse works? If yes replace the mouse.
-
- : 2 (If you are capable of testing it): Test if there is +5V on pin 7 of
- : the mouse connector; if yes go on to step 3 / if not it's probably FB215
-
- BUZZZZ... The only reason FB215 would go bad was if the USER damaged it
- or a lightnigh jolt cam in through pin 7.... I have NEVER seen one of these
- EMI filters go bad...
-
-
- : 3: Change U202 (74LS157)
-
-
- BUZZZZZ.... This is a soldered chip.... before just SWAPPING it...
- check to see if this is a newer rev mother board that has an in line pico
- fuse on the +5 line... this is the most common problem when the mouse goes...
- the second most is a bad DENISE as IT handles the Mouse lines (after the
- LS157... which I have only seen blow a couple of times...)...
-
-
-
- : 4: Sorry I give up..... Ask someone else for example:

-
- Sounds like you should not have been diagnosing it in the first place....
